Laura Bratton
Hi, I'm Laura! Most people ask me why I chose to work in the field of intimacy and sex therapy. I’ve come to believe that intimacy holds immense potential for healing. Within the connections we form with ourselves and others, there are powerful opportunities to heal past wounds, grow, and step into our fullest selves. It’s this belief that inspires and guides my work with clients.
As a therapist, I practice radical acceptance—allowing, appreciating, and honoring everything that comes up during our time together. My approach is rooted in the principle that everyone deserves love, respect, and dignity simply because they exist. I am committed to creating a calm and affirming space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, feelings, and relationships.
I value creativity in the therapy process. I often invite clients to imagine how they want to feel, how they want to connect, and to tap into the sensations that emerge when they explore those desires. By doing so, we can begin to shape how they relate to themselves and others in meaningful ways. I believe that empowering clients to tap into their imagination and creativity can be transformative.
To create a safe space for my clients, I take care to check in with myself regularly, ensuring that I am grounded, present, and supported through my own therapy, supervision, and personal network. My goal is for clients to leave sessions feeling reassured of their worthiness to be seen, known, and loved—exactly as they are.
Whether you’re navigating intimacy challenges, seeking healing, or looking to deepen your connection to yourself or a partner, I’m here to support you with compassion, creativity, and care.
